We did it!!! We completed our home study and we are now Foster Care Certified which means...we can legally adopt! Our social worker is a total sweet heart. I feel as though we have the perfect match for us. We both have full confidence in her.
Here is the food that I prepared for the visit-
Fruit platter with pineapple, strawberry, kiwi, and
cantaloupe. My mouth is watering!!!
Triple chocolate cookies and fudge brownies.
(Not to brag but the brownies are to die for!)
Now we are just waiting to receive our portfolio. I did it digitally so I had to create it on the computer and then have it sent to us. I'm hoping the Fed Ex man comes before work because I am absolutely dieing to see the finished product!!! Every truck that I hear passing the house I jump up to see if it might be our delivery...haha, I know, I'm such a dork!
Hope all is well with my fabulous blogger friends. Sorry I haven't been around to comment the last couple days. Prep for our visit sort of took over my life!

Congrats!!! That feels like such a big piece of the puzzle and it feels so great to get it done. I'm glad it went well and you liked your social worker, that makes a big difference!!
How very exciting! I am really happy for you both.
By the way, if you are going to brag about the brownies you could at least post the recipe!!!!! ;)
Thank you so much for your warm and sweet comment in my blog, it made me very happy.
I think you made lovely plates with food for the social worker visit. We did also like our social worker who helped us when we were working with the adoption process. Are you going to adopt from your own country?
We live in Norway and we adopted two children from Ethiopia, but I have maybe already told you that.
That's great! Congrats! I'm looking forward to following you through this journey!

Congrats on the completing the adoption home study. I can only imagine how nerve-racking that was.
As someone who has been adopted, it is wonderful you are opening your heart and life to a child who needs one.
