Emotions While Moving

The process of moving is such a strange feeling. I go through my day to day tasks just as I did before, but there are constant reminders that in a few months’ things will be different. For example, prepping inventory at the boutique for a summer outdoor sale that I will not be part of, or getting a newsletter from my area college concerning alumni events I won’t be around to attend. Cleaning a house that will no longer be my home come June feels odd to say the least.  It all can seem pretty surreal, and it is a reminder to me that there are blessings in every situation. I make it no secret that I am ready to move on and that this town isn't for me. But that doesn't mean I don’t have memories here. That doesn't mean that I don’t treasure the growth and experiences I have had here. So yes, I am more than excited to start some place new…but that doesn't mean I’m not going to be a bit nostalgic in the process.

No matter what moving is always bitter sweet. It's exciting to know you are going to create new memories but it is a little sad leaving the old ones behind especially when you are leaving the state altogether!
