To me this quote reflects the simple belief that it is what is on the inside that really counts. Our souls are so much more valuable then our bodies. So why do we obsess so much about our bodies? They are only outward. Are we not so much more then that?

Very true and a good reminder for us to keep in our hearts! I would really have to think about a favorite quote; there are too many in my head, which is a hazard of teaching English for so long!
