Movie Review--Hitachi a Dog's Story

I’m not a huge movie buff…I can rarely sit still long enough to take an entire film in. But Jan Jan at Between Me And My Thoughts mentioned the movie Hitachi a Dog's Story on her blog. And I decided to give it a try because I absolutely love dogs!!!

Oh. My. Word. To say the movie touched me would be an understatement.

I fell in love with the dog, the family, the station…everyone! I was in tears the majority of the movie.

I was nothing short of a wreck. Hatchi’s loyalty to his owner tugged at my heart strings.

I tried to pull it together so my hubs wouldn’t think I was a blithering fool. But the uncontrollable sobs were insurmountable.

I even had to physically leave the room at the end pathetically weeping “I just can’t watch, I'm too tender hearted!”

Despite my tears I do highly recommend the movie. It is rated G so it is very family friendly.

I DON’T recommend wearing any makeup while watching this film…mine was completely washed away by the end.

PS- my dad loved his birthday surprise! It was so awesome to have the entire school singing Happy Birthday to him! And he was totally shocked! In fact, he was telling some of the students who were headed to the gym (for his surprise) to get back to class. Ha!
