My Dad & My Baby

It’s my daddy’s birthday today!!!

My dad is one of the hardest working men I know. He has been a Principal AND teacher for over 20 years. He is a diligent administrator and a dedicated instructor.

He even tought me in 8th grade...what a brave man! ;-)

So today we are going to surprise him at school. We had a local bakery make a cake and we’ve stocked up on ice cream. This afternoon my mom, my husband, and I are going to get the student body and faculty into the gym to sing Happy Birthday and celebrate!

I don’t think he has a clue…I’m so excited!!!

Another reason that I am feelin’ good today…

WE HAVE A MEETING SET WITH THE SOCAIL WORKER FOR THIS FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I said I wasn’t going to get excited this time…

But it’s so hard! This is my future baby we are talking about!

And besides, third time’s a charm, right?!?

Keep us in your prayers! I really want this meeting to take place...it's time to get the ball rolling!

A Little Update...

I just want to thank everyone again for the comments and emails of encouragement concerning the adoption. I have the best blogger friends in the world. :-)

Because of all of your support I decided to call the social worker back (rather than wait for her to contact me.) Unfortunately she didn’t answer but I did leave a voicemail asking if we could meet on Friday. I haven’t heard back from her yet, but I most certainly will keep everyone updated!
