Trying to Look on the Bright Side

I'm not going to lie, the last couple days have found me with a persistent little ache in my heart. I was so very much hoping that I'd be a mommy soon. But God has a plan for us, and with that in mind I've been able to cope.

Hubster and I felt that it would be best for us to get out of town for a bit. So we had a fabulous little Saturday shopping, eating, and just sharing one another's time.

Fashion has always been a passion of mine...a way that I use to express myself. I thought it might be fun to post my finds on Saturday. I'll start out with the outfit I wore to church and to brunch today...

Jacket-- DIMRI
Black turtle neck-- Wet Seal
Baggy Black Dress Pants-- Ramona's (local boutique & my place of work!)

Bling Ring-- Thrift shop

My wardrobe mixes high end fashion & thrift store finds. I like to switch it up!

Beach Fashion

Over the weekend I had the chance to hit the beach. Beach fashion has always been fun for me...however I tend to be picky. I like to show a little skin but not too much. There is a fine line. How does one go about looking fab but not like a grandma at the beach?

I believe the best way is to pick either top or bottom to expose a little more of. But never both.

For example, if you are wearing a little bikini tie on the side bottom, throw a tank or tunic on top for a more coverage. Or if you are going to wear your bikini top cover your bottom with a skirt or a pair of surf shorts.

That is my motto. Choose a little something to flaunt and cover the rest.

Here is what I picked for my day at the beach:

What is your beach wear motto? Do you have a favorite style of swim wear?
