Awards & a BIG Thank You!

Wow, THANK YOU for all the support you gave me concerning my previous post. Have I ever told you how FABULOUS you are??? The comments, emails, and tweets I received really boosted my spirits. And the therapy session did go well, so your thoughts and prayers were truly felt.

In the spirit of thankfulness I would like to pass along a few blog awards I've received.

The second award was sent to me from the uber cool Lindsey at Scenic Glory. Her blog is definitely worth a follow...thanks for the award my dear! I've noticed this one floating around and have secretly been coveting it. LOL, nothing like exposing my dorkiness. ;-)



For the Stylish Blogger Award I am supposed to list 7 facts about myself...are ya ready for this?

1) My favorite seasonal treat is caramel corn. I polished off several bowls this holiday season.

2) Sometimes I buy things at work just to "boost sales"...oh the joys of working in fashion.

3) I was sent to a specialist my senior year of high school to receive cognitive testing. The results revealed that I am dyslexic but also have an extremely high IQ. Near 140 which is considered genius level.

4) I was in a car accident the summer before my Junior year of high school. This caused me to have many surgeries and copious amounts of physical therapy....I actually loved PT!

5) I don't require much sleep. If I get a few nights in a row of 8 hours I'm bouncing off the walls.

6) Although I am active I am also very introspective. I could sit and think (or type) for hours.

7) My hubster is my best friend. He is the only one on this planet that I've shared nearly everything with. And he still loves me! Imagine that! ;-)

Wow...this has quickly morphed into what I believe may be my longest blog post ever! Hope you all stuck with me through that. Enjoy the awards. You deserve them!

I did it!

Well, I did it! I told my boss of our plans to adopt. I not only told the boss lady, I also told a co-worker. Hooray! So gradually word is getting out.

Thanks to all of you who gave me support and encouragement…I was nervous to break this news to my boss. But she took it really well. I am glad I can check that off my to-do list!!

A New Look & a Thankyou!

As you can see, my blog has a new look! If you stick around for a bit you will find that I like to switch up the background and colors of my blog. I think a little change and a fresh appearance is nice from time to time.

Heck, when I was a pre-teen/teen I was known for rearranging my room and giving it a new “design” multiple times a year. I know, I was an artsy little dork.

I also wanted to say thank you for your response to my last post “Loving the Real You”. The message is personal and something that is close to my heart.

I received quite a lot of comments and emails of encouragement because of that post. It is clear that women need to hear that message more often so I will be sure to write more on the subject in the future.

It really amazes me what an awesome group of women bloggers there are out there...and I am so fortunate to have such fabulous followers. You brighten my day! I hope I do the same for you.
