My Decision

Thank you for the advice concerning my blog! I truly appreciated every comment, email, and tweet I received.

I decided to keep this blog up and for now I will leave it open. I started this blog as an outlet to write when I felt the desire. To get my thoughts out there and find like minded people in the process. I have done so with The Diary of a Dreamer but I think that with the additional followers came the pressure (mostly self-induced) to post daily.

So I will post when I feel the desire and focus on the things that matter most to me.

Of course while contemplating my blog I did some creating...

There is something about creating that "settles me down". It is a release which provides clarity. I hope that all of you have one or several little things that you can turn to when you are stressed. (Feel free to share your de-stressers!)

The future of my blog...

Lately I haven't known what to do with myself concerning this blog...I love it, most of the time. But there are times I just want to get rid of it.

I have 135 followers. Out of those people I'd say about 80 are real followers. I know this because I receive emails from you, we communicate via twitter, or you comment on my posts.

Out of the 80 people who really are following me there are about 40 that I have truly formed a connection with. These are the bloggers that keep me going...the reason that I come back.

It's been said that quality should always trump quantity and I believe that to be true with blogs. My other blog Recovery Through My Eyes is set at private and only has 7 followers. Yet I've gotten more fulfillment from writing there then writing for Diary of a Dreamer which has a much bigger following.

I'm not exactly sure what the future holds for this blog. Maybe I will whittle down my followers, maybe I will set it to private, maybe I'll just delete it, maybe I'll peace out for a bit and let the excess followers drop me one by one, or maybe I'll keep going as is....

...that is the beauty of it, it is my blog, so I call the shots. ;-)
