Pondering Opportunities

My co-worker said something a couple weeks ago that really got me thinking. We were talking about times in our lives we'd love to go back to and she said that the most exciting and fun time in her life was her mid-late 20's before her husband and her had children. They went on adventures together and they both had a great jobs. It was just an exhilarating time in her life. That caused me to ponder...am I missing those years by wanting a child so badly? I literally live as though I am a mother...but I'm not. Right now, being a mom is not in Gods plans for me. I should really seize the moment and use the blessings I've been given to make the most of life.

After that revelation I was contacted by a clothing supplier who wanted to work with Jazz It Up. Feeling motivated from my previous discovery I jumped at the opportunity. Is it risky? Yes. Will I succeed in this venture? Who knows! But I am 26 years old and I am going to give it a try. Why not? I absolutely love each and every design that I will be selling. It feels great to believe in your product.

Here is a little sample of the designs-

Flounce One-shoulder Dress $13 shipped

Off-shoulder Lotus Leaf Dress $30 shipped

Round Collar Half Sleeve Dress $13 shipped

Retro Maxi Embroidered Dress $21 shipped

Peep Shoulder T-Shirt $18 shipped

Bowknot Sleeveless Blouse $13 shipped

Bohemian style blouse $24 shipped

Gorgeous Bowknot Cotton tank $10 shipped

Slim Leopard Montage Dress $48 shipped

Off-shoulder Lotus Leaf Dress $15 shipped
There are so much many more where that come from but I don't want to over-load you with pictures. I am so excited and nervous for this new business venture. Although I may not have a child like I had hoped I do have things to be thankful for.

I really appreciate all your prayers and well-wishes. They mean the world to me and they put a smile on my face when I was feeling down. I thank you from the bottom of my heart dear friends!

Bella & Bangels

Bella is adjusting well to our family. At first Olly and her were not 100% sure about each other but now they are buddies, it is so cute! Here is a video I took introducing Bella-

We were slow at the boutique yesterday so I created some bangles for Jazz It Up. I am happy with how they turned out. I'm selling them for $7 so I think they will go quickly. :)

The hubster is in Cincinnati for his job this weekend. That means I have some girl time...SHOPPING!!! What do you ladies have in store for the weekend? Whatever it is I hope you enjoy it!

A Random Update

Hey ladies,

So I figured I'd drop by for a little update. We did call our social worker about that pending birth mother and she didn't know what the status was but she said she was going to talk with her coworker and give us an update as soon as possible. We are expecting to hear she picked someone else but it just helps to get the closure of an official answer.

I've been doing ok. I've been keeping myself busy. Of course there are always women to style at the shop. Plus a gal I knew from high school contacted me to do a few custom jewelry orders and that has been fun. She wanted a nature/tree themed necklace and this is what I came up with-

I think she really likes it which puts a smile on my face. I was very satisified with how it turned out.

In other news, my little online consignment shop is doing nicely. It is so much fun to trade/buy/sell clothes and accessories! I have to say I am getting a little addicted to it. I've sold a few things, bought a few things, and have a couple trades in the works. It's a fun way to switch up your wardrobe with out having to spend a ton of money. Here are a few of the things in Rachel's Closet-

Black Cocktail Dress Size Medium $10 +shipping or willing to trade

H&M skirt size 4 +shipping or willing to trade
size small silk New York & Co tank $10 + shipping or willing to trade

twenty one blazer $8 plus shipping or willing to trade

Breeke "Audrey Hepburn" top Size Small $10 plus shipping or willing to trade

Express size 4 capri $10 plus shipping or  willing to trade

Designer Inspired Sunglasses $10 + shipping or willing to trade

I love to buy, sell, or trade with you so let me know if you start up a page of your own...I have to warn you though, once you start you can't stop!

Hope all is well with you...have a fabulous day!

Weekend Happenings

Have I mentioned that I have the greatest blogger friends? Because I do! You are AMAZING! Your words of encouragement regarding my last post warmed my heart. THANK YOU! I have not called my social worker yet because I am just not ready to hear what she most likely will say. That and I guess I just want HER to call me with an update. I feel like I'm pestering her. I know I need to speak with her about all this, I've just been avoiding it.

I have been trying to keep my mind off of the adoption. I've been jam packing my days so that I can focus on something other then not being a mother.

One of the things I did was create an online consignment shop. Basically it is just to trade and sell clothing and accessories I bought but never use. I don't know why I started it but I've had fun playing around and meeting other consignment loving ladies. If anyone wants to check it out here is the link- Rachel's Closet

I also created a new Jazz It Up necklace because as you know, keeping my hands busy reduces my stress. Here is what I came up with-

The final thing I did to keep me busy is I rescued another min-pin. How could I not? Her name is Bella.

There will no doubt be plenty of blogs about her in the future. She is my little girl! :-)

So that was my weekend in a nutshell. I hope you are all well and that you are having a great Monday. Hugs to you all!

Love the Career but Longing for Motherhood

With Jazz It Up being part of the Expo market on Saturday I had one busy weekend! There were lots of orders to fill and preparations to make for my display. The day went well, but because a blizzard was predicted to hit later in the day it was a little slower then normal. I did sell out on a few items...which is always good!

Here are a few pictures from the event-

Jazz It Up Jewelry Boxes!!!

Each piece of jewelry from Jazz comes in a pretty little box :-)

My Earring Display

The table!

I made these card holders to "showcase" Jazz It Up. I think I will save these and use them for future events.

Me...hard at work!
Happy customer with her new designer stripe bag :-)
Happy customer with her new flower bag...and if you look closely she came to the Expo wearing a Jazz It Up necklace...love it!
Happy customer wearing her new peace sign purse! :-)
As I said in a previous post I am so thankful for the distraction that Jazz It Up allows me. Right now I have had my thoughts and prayers focused on becoming a mother...I think it would be easy for me to fall into depression if I didn't have a positive outlet to channel my energy. Both hubby and I talked over the weekend about how we long for a child, but God has given us so much to be grateful for in our careers and in our personal life. So while I hope and pray the majority of my waking hours that I will be a mother soon...I am at least satisfied and blessed in the other areas of my life.

Well, bloggy friends, hope you have a fantastic Monday! Remember, a start of a new week can mean a new and positive outlook!

To Market To Market...

Like I said in my last post...things have been crazy busy around here lately! I received my new purse order so yesterday was full of photos, pricing, and prepping for the market on Saturday. But lucky for me it is work that I love. I thought I'd give you all a little peek at what the new purses look like. I love your feedback so let me know what your favorite are.

My favorite is the second one...I liked it so much I almost kept one for myself right away...but hubby said I should sell one first before I snag one for myself. Ha, we'll see about that. ;-)

I also made a new pair of earrings which I think are really fun-

I love turquoise and big dangley earrings are defiantly a passion of mine. I will have these at the market Saturday and I am hoping to get a good response.

Another thing I added was Croco Inspired Wallets-

They are a tad bright for my bland little town but I hear that the market attracts a lot of people from out of state so I'm thinking these will be a good fit on my table.

Well, that is all for now. I hope you don't mind me posting business related things. I just love to get your advice/opinions and I also like to share with you what I've been up to. I'm not trying to push my line on you nor do I expect you to buy...I just value your feedback!

Make it a fabulous Thursday! :)
